Nellie McClung is one of Canada’s most significant and celebrated historical figures. Her amazing life is the inspiration for Kathleen Morrell’s Nellie McClung: A One “Person” Play. Starring noted Saskatchewan actress Wendy Sticker as McClung, the play was presented at Grace Westminster United Church on October 18-19, 2008. McClung played a pivotal role in the decision by the British Privy Council that recognized women as “persons” under the law. (Duration 9:34)

Again! brought some of John Diefenbaker’s greatest speeches back to life. Dief is the Chief . . . Again! re-created all the energy and excitement of a Diefenbaker campaign rally. James Gardiner Vs the Ku Klux Klan

This video features highlights from a re-enactment of the debate that took place between Premier James Gardiner and R. H. Hawkins, an American organizer with the Ku Klux Klan of Kanada on June 28, 1928, in Lemberg. Gardiner agreed to debate Hawkins, which had been making in-roads in Saskatchewan since 1926, as part of his concentrated attacks on the Klan. Gardiner believed that confronting Hawkins would put the Klan to rest once and for all. (Duration 9:14)
