Fort Walsh to Wood Mountain: The NWMP Trail
In cooperation with Benchmark Press, The Rural History and Culture Association published Wood Mountain to Fort Walsh: The North-West Mounted Police Trail as the legacy aspect of the Celebrate the NWMP Trail festivals held in the summer of 2009. The book is 104 pages and features an eclectic collection of 14 articles about the significance of the NWMP Trail to the First Nations, Métis and pioneer societies of what is now south west Saskatchewan. The book includes the following contributions:

All profits from the sale of Fort Walsh to Wood Mountain go towards the Friends of the NWMP Trail program, which is operated by the Saskatchewan History and Folklore Society (SHFS). The Friends of the NWMP Trail maintain, repair and replace the historic markers placed on the Trail by Everett Baker, the first president of the SHFS.
