The spring 2009 edition of Prairies North magazine arrived this week – a sure a sign that spring is on its way as any. To help put everyone in the right mood for spring, a set of new pictures has been added to the RHCA’s Roads Less Travelled Gallery. The new set, “Herschel in the Spring,” features pictures taken in the spring of 2008 around the small community of Herschel, north west of Rosetown and off highway 31. The set was contributed by a local photographer, Linda Klassen, who has lived the area her entire life.

Herschel is well known for its beautiful country-side, unique natural history and significant archaeological finds. The Ancient Echoes Interpretive Centre in Herschel showcases all these unique elements of the area and offers a full-range of interpretive and educational resources as well as great summer programming.
